During CES2022 event, visitors could try AGC demo-car for a unique Augmented reality drive experience
AGC and EyeLights joined forces to bring the Augmented Reality Head-up-display to CES 2022 for a better and safer drive.
AGC Automotive technology transforms the windshield into a virtual screen offering new cockpit design possibilities and a new augmented reality drive experience. The combined windshield and display technologies allow the largest virtual screen size (550 inches) with projection distance displayed up to 50 meters away from the driver.
CES visitors were clearly impressed when test driving the car.

The AGC Group is working to promote sustainability management with the aim of continuously improving its social and economic value.
CO2 reduction for us, some initiatives:
In Hungary, our Tatabanya plant has partnered with one of Europe's largest energy network operators to move towards greener electricity production. Photovoltaic panels will be installed on the ground (7 Ha) and supply around 5 GWh per year. Start-date planned for 2023.
In Belgium, Seneffe, since 2020, in addition to the solar panels fully covering the roof surface, since 2020 the factory has been equipped with a wind turbine. AGC is aiming to maximize the self-production of green energy for our automotive plant dedicated to trains, trams & industrial vehicles.
In North America we have renewed our focus on electric vehicles by expanding our development of relevant technologies and by adding resources to our internal teams.

Wideye in great demand on international markets having been specified for use in all regions
Growing industry interest in optical sensor integrations has seen Wideye being specified by businesses, confirming Wideye’s strategic and international path as a pioneer premium brand for optical glass sensor integration.
Wideye selected to supply key protective optical components (cover glass) for mass production LiDAR project, enabling Level 3 automated driving functions and beyond.
Wideye awarded by a global car manufacturer for several on-roof LiDAR integration projects, to be mounted on its latest all electric car models, with assembly plants in US and China.
Wideye chosen by another car manufacturer to roll-out its expanded Hands-Free Driver Assistance System, thanks to its windshield LiDAR & camera sensor integration that is now taking a new leap with a program rolling out in the US.
Several ongoing development programs, including B-sample production and partnership programs, to validate our LiDAR and camera integration solutions with Tier-1, OEM and new-mobility companies.
With these first strategic business awards expected in mass production in 2023 and 2024, the manufacturing division is also growing and the first production lines are getting operational and validated by customers. It demonstrates Wideye’s capability to ensure worldwide leadership.
Brand new booth for CES 2022
Wideye was happy to exhibit at CES 2022 with a new booth, displaying a unique “concept car” which included Wideye prototypes. According to visitors “this was a real eyecatcher”!

Glass is a unique material that was honored this year by the United Nations
“2022” marks 100 years since the discovery of Egyptian glass in Tutankhamen’s tomb. As a result, this year was declared “International Year of Glass” by the United Nations to honor this unique material that has progressed hand in hand with the development of human civilization.
As a world leading glass manufacturer, AGC has been a Diamond Sponsor of International Year of Glass 2022.
In Europe, AGC Technovation center organized an exhibition in March under the name “Green and Connected”. A wide range of innovations were displayed in an interactive tour highlighting the key role of glass for new connected cities while demonstrating AGC’s various initiatives for a sustainable future.
In Japan, AGC held a 6-month exhibition under the name “The Identity of the Glass” where the impressions, context, and emotional value of glass were revealed from six different perspectives. Visitors were able to experience the functional value AGC has created, including existing glass products, smart mirrors, and VR technology that visualizes radio waves and ultraviolet rays. The exhibition also highlighted products and technologies that contribute to a sustainable society as well as eco-friendly glass manufacturing processes.

ACG glass roof mounted for ideal driving comfort on Luxury brand
AGC has developed a light-control panoramic roof with Low-E coating, which has been adopted for a Luxury model launched around the world in the second half of 2022.
The special Low-E coating technology achieves unprecedented solar control and heat insulation performance, thereby greatly reducing the heat in summer and cold in winter for optimized EV mileage. The shade-less configuration also contributes to vehicle weight reduction and head clearance.
The light-control feature enables instant control of transmitted light and adjusts brightness inside the cabin for best driving comfort.
This innovation illustrates AGC sustainability management to address climate change and to create a safe and comfortable urban structure.

Reeflect by AGC, brand launched in Europe for glass prototyping expertise
Reeflect, a start-up by AGC, was launched in June 2022 in Europe, Aniche (France), to focus on prototypes and small series production in a way to differentiate from AGC Automotive’s conventional business.
Reeflect’s glass experts are able to offer a wide range of products from fast standard automotive glazing prototypes to innovation products such as complex windshields or disruptive sunroofs, with uncompromised quality (OEM-grade), from unique samples to small runs up to few hundred units.
Reeflect by AGC addresses all markets: OEMs, EV startups, design studios, or non-automotive players to deliver prototypes, concept car glazing, small series laminated solutions and even customized glass training!

Pulsaart by AGC: new brand positioning for the more connected future
In response to the fast-evolving mobility industry and increasing demand for innovative connectivity solutions, Pulsaart by AGC revised and upgraded its strategy. After analyzing market developments, customer needs, and growth potential, the start-up shifted its positioning from an on-glass antenna producer to an end-to-end antenna system solution supplier.
The new approach enables the company to expand its portfolio while providing clients from automotive, satellite, drone and other mobility industries a full spectrum of services, including antenna architecture, design, integration, measurements, and validation. These service categories comprise the entire connectivity solution development process and can be purchased by a customer as a single-interface Pulsaart by AGC solution or each service separately according to clients' needs.

WaveThru® by AGC exhibited at Innotrans 2022
Innotrans Berlin, the biggest worldwide trade show for the rail industry, took place this year. 4 years after the last event, the exhibitors showed their latest innovations for rail transportation in the heart of Europe.
AGC was thrilled to present its best-in-class solutions to enhance connectivity inside trains. OEM train builders and railway operators discovered our wide range of innovative WaveThru® products and Pulsaart services for WaveThru retrofit & simulations along with anechoic chamber tests.
